This evening, I went to the Milk District Main Street Party in Orlando, FL. Every Tuesday evening, delicious food trucks assemble in the Milk District for Tasty Tuesdays. I’ve never been to Tasty Tuesdays before, but tonight’s evening was a pet-friendly, family-friendly, music-filled event.
There was a good amount of food trucks, but not a lot of vegetarian options. We opted for the $5 bag of truffle fries (truffle oil, fresh garlic, Parmesan cheese) from the Treehouse Truck.
They were warm and toasty – perfect for a cool autumn evening in Orlando. The aromatic smell of the truffles and garlic was deliciously intoxicating. The actual taste of the garlic was more subtle than the smell, but it was still good. The fries were light and crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. The sprinkling of Parmesan cheese was a nice touch.
Also located in the Milk District is Gringos Locos. They have a great Happy Hour everyday from 4-8pm of $5 burritos and $2 tacos that come with free chips and salsa. They don’t skimp on the chips either! We got a heaping bowl full of chips. The salsa had an odd flavor (very sweet but spicy), so I had chips with my own toppings at home.
We got the veggie burrito (rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, pico, guac, salsa verde, & sour cream), which is typically $7.39. The Happy Hour deal is definitely a great deal! The burrito was ginormous, and half of it was plenty for me. It was tasty and filling.
